Julia Moscardini was born in Argentina, in the southern area of ​​Greater Buenos Aires. She began her career as a singer in 2010, being part of popular music groups, mainly focused on jazz, a genre to which, since then, she has been mainly dedicated.

She has released two albums as a soloist, "Stablemates" (2019) and "Mood Indigo" (2022) in quintet format, accompanied by Ernesto Jodos (piano), Sebastián Loiácono (tenor sax), Jerónimo Carmona (double bass) and Carto Brandán ( drums). She regularly performs live, in various formats, alongside prominent musicians from the local jazz scene and also performs Argentine music, mainly as a duo with his father, the guitarist and composer Carlos Moscardini.

Julia focused her musical training on jazz, in Buenos Aires with teachers such as Barbie Martinez, Ernesto Jodos, Mariano Loiácono, Daniel Johansen, Roxana Amed, and in New York with her main teacher, the singer Sheila Jordan, and with other great teachers such as Jay Clayton, Christine Correa, Fay Victor, Theo Bleckman, Carla Cook, Mary Stallings, among others.

She presented in numerous cities in Argentina, and abroad, in Chile, Uruguay, Brazil and the United States. She is part of the "ML Big Orchestra" - a traditional jazz group directed by trumpeter Mariano Loiácono - and has shared the stage with prominent international figures such as Rusell Malone, Cyrus Chestnut, Antonio Hart, Anthony Wonsey, Lonnie Plaxico and Steve Davis, among others.

She also works as a teacher, teaching both private classes and in tertiary schools, offering workshops and masterclasses.

Since 2021, she has held the position of Artistic Director of the Buenos Aires International Jazz Festival.
